Upcoming events for your occupational therapy CPD

Why not start building on your CPD experience early this year? There’s plenty of interesting events coming up in the next month with spaces left, so you have no excuse!

As a reminder, practising occupational therapists need a minimum of 30 hours of CPD practise a year. That’s two and half hours per month if we split it equally.

Here’s a few ideas to get you started…

Neonatal frameworks and their application to occupational therapy practice | 06 February 2023, 16.00 – 17.00

As you can guess from the title, this session will look closely at neonatal frameworks, including:

  • The BAPM framework for Family Integrated Care (FiCare)
  • Developmental care
  • Infant and Family-Centred developmental care (IFCDC)
  • Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI)
  • The European Standards for Care of the Newborn and Newborn Individualised Developmental Care and Assessment Programme (NIDCAP)

Attendees will come away with a deepened understanding of current neonatal frameworks, including the language used in each and how each framework can be applied to their current practice.
